AZ-305 Microsoft Azure Architect Design Prerequisites – review core Azure concepts for architects: subscriptions & landing-zone hierarchy, compute & storage fundamentals, basic networking, and identity/governance building blocks.
Design identity, governance & monitoring solutions – architect Entra ID authentication and managed identities, RBAC & Conditional Access, Azure Policy + Blueprints for governance, and end-to-end logging/monitoring with Azure Monitor & Log Analytics.
Design business-continuity solutions – choose HA/DR patterns that meet RPO/RTO targets, design backup & restore, ASR replication, cross-region services, and chaos-testing strategies for IaaS/PaaS workloads.
Design data-storage solutions – select the right Azure SQL, PostgreSQL/Flexible Server, Cosmos DB or Storage service; plan partitioning, consistency & scalability; and integrate data with Event Hub, ADF & Synapse pipelines.
Design infrastructure solutions – architect compute (VMSS, AKS, App Service), networking (hub-and-spoke, vWAN, Private Link), application routing & migration approaches using Azure Migrate and Bicep/IaC.
